Learning to Use TumbleBook

Welcome back, Teachers, to the 2009-2010 school year.  With our new administrator we have been challenged to increase our use of technology in the classroom and increase reading scores.  This guide will help you learn to use a program called TumbleBook that will help accomplish both of these tasks.

I know, many of you are asking, “What is TumbleBook?”  TumbleBook is your new listening center.  No more fumbling with the tape cassettes.  No more missing books or cassettes with no match.  No more spending precious classroom monies on these materials!

TumbleBook is a program that reads books to children over the internet.  It is located on the military library website (USAFE Libraries) and is free to use!  That is right, we can read over 200 books this year to our students without a single purchase.

1. What is TumbleBook?

2. How do I access TumbleBook?

3. What do the children do on TumbleBook?

4. How do I use this in the classroom?
